TEAM® Course
Trauma Evaluation and Management (TEAM®) at SMBBIT-KHI
The TEAM® Course, developed by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), is a standardized program
introducing core trauma assessment and early management principles.
The course provides a structured framework for the initial evaluation, prioritization, and stabilization of trauma patients, with emphasis on systematic clinical thinking, early identification of life-threatening injuries, and effective communication within the trauma team.
TEAM® serves as an essential foundation for healthcare professionals involved in emergency and trauma care and acts as a preparatory platform for advanced trauma training programs such as Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS®).
The program is delivered through interactive lectures, case-based discussions, and visual learning modules, ensuring alignment with internationally accepted trauma care standards.
At Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Institute of Trauma (SMBBIT), the TEAM® Course is conducted under the leadership of Dr. Sabir Memon, ensuring high-quality training, strong academic oversight, and adherence to ACS guidelines in trauma education.
