During the Covid-19 pandemic, when on-going medical expenses left many people deep in debt, as per the instructions of the government of Sindh, a dedicated Covid-19 ICU & HDU unit were established by the Institute, and over 1,456 admitted patients were treated completely free of charge.

• 26 functional ventilators, and other intensive care-related equipment.
• Auto - Generation Oxygen Plant with Reservoir Tanks of 2000 litres capacity each, which covers 400 Plus O2 Points at the Institute.
• Conversion of an operation theatre, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and a dedicated resuscitation room in ER from a positive to negative pressure environment.
